Magkaibigan, nagkasiraan dahil sa five thousand, pinag-ayos ng ‘CIA with BA’

“It’s difficult to do but let’s all try to tame our tongue.”

Ito ang mga salitang binitiwan ni Kuya Alan Peter Cayetano, kasama ang kapatid na si Pia at co-host na si Boy Abunda, bilang panapos sa episode ng ‘CIA with BA’ nitong Linggo, Enero 21.

Sa segment na ‘Case 2 Face’, inireklamo ni Annaliza Dinquil ang kumareng si Daisy Bon na pinautang niya ng P5,000.00. Ayon kay Annaliza, pumayag siyang pautangin ang kaibigan dahil nakumbinsi siyang ito ay magkakaroon ng tubo o interes. Subalit hindi ito natupad ni Daisy dahil na rin sa iba pang utang at problemang pinansyal.

Mas lumala pa ang kanilang sitwasyon dahil sa mga paninira na binitiwan laban sa isa’t-isa sa kanilang mga kapitbahay.

“Kung ang problema ay pera, ‘wag na magsalita ng iba na hindi tungkol do’n sa utang,” diin ni Alan. “Kung ang problema [ay] may nasaktan, ‘yun lang [ang pag-usapan]. ‘Pag dinagdagan mo, dagdag din ‘yung problema.”

Sa pagtatapos ng segment, humingi naman ng tawad si Daisy, mula kay Annaliza.

“Humihingi ako ng tawag sa’yo, sa mga masasakit na salitang sinabi ko sa’yo. Pasensya na talaga,” aniya. “‘Yung utang, babayaran naman kita pero hindi ko masasabi sa ’yo kung kailan at anong araw dahil alam mong walang-wala ako ngayon.”

“Willing naman akong intindihin. Lagi naman kitang iniintindi. Dahil lang sa pera tuloy, ‘yung friendship nawawala,” maluwag na sagot ni Annaliza kay Daisy.

“The earlier [na] ma-solve ang problema, the better. And then ‘yung nasa Bible, ‘Tame your tongue,’” pagninilay ni Alan sa sitwasyon ng dalawa.

Para naman kay Tito Boy: “I will build on what Kuya Alan said: ‘tame our tongue.’ Dahil the power of words, iingatan natin.”

“Minsan ‘yung utang napapag-usapan e. Pero pag nagbitaw ka ng mga salita na masasakit, ang hirap bawiin. Ika-nga, ang hirap pulutin ng mga salitang masakit na binitawan mo laban sa isang tao,” dagdag niya.

Nangako rin ang ‘CIA with BA’ na magbibigay ng tulong para sa pang-araw-araw na kakailanganin nila.

Ang ‘CIA with BA’ ay pagpapatuloy ng nasimulang misyon ni Senador Rene Cayetano, ang yumaong ama ng magkapatid na senador. Si Senador Rene ang orihinal na abogadong nagbibigay ng legal advice sa telebisyon at siyang host ng sikat na programang ‘Compañero y Compañera’ noong 1997 hanggang 2001.

“It’s difficult to do but let’s all try to tame our tongue.”

This is what Alan Peter Cayetano told as he, together with sister Pia and co-host Boy Abunda, concluded an episode of ‘CIA with BA’ on Sunday, January 21.

In the ‘Case 2 Face’ segment, Annaliza Dinquil complained about her friend Daisy Bon to whom she lent P5,000.00. The former said that she granted the latter’s loan because she was enticed by the payment arrangement with interest. However, Daisy has not been able to meet her payment schedules due to other financial problems.

What made their situation worse were the gossip they shared with other people around their neighborhood.

“Kung ang problema ay pera, ‘wag na magsalita ng iba na hindi tungkol do’n sa utang,” Alan stressed. “Kung ang problema [ay] may nasaktan, ‘yun lang [ang pag-usapan]. ‘Pag dinagdagan mo, dagdag din ‘yung problema.”

Daisy, at the end of the segment, asked for Annaliza’s forgiveness.

“Humihingi ako ng tawag sa’yo, sa mga masasakit na salitang sinabi ko sa’yo. Pasensya na talaga,” she said. “‘Yung utang, babayaran naman kita pero hindi ko masasabi sa ’yo kung kailan at anong araw dahil alam mong walang-wala ako ngayon.”

In response, Annaliza told Daisy: “Willing naman akong intindihin. Lagi naman kitang iniintindi. Dahil lang sa pera tuloy, ‘yung friendship nawawala.”

Reflecting on the situation, Alan said: “The earlier [na] ma-solve ang problema, the better. And then ‘yung nasa Bible, ‘Tame your tongue.’”

For his part, Abunda concluded: “I will build on what Kuya Alan said: ‘tame our tongue.’ Dahil the power of words, iingatan natin.”

The program carries on the legacy of Senator Rene Cayetano, the late father of the sibling senators. The senior Cayetano was a renowned lawyer who gained fame through his radio and TV program 'Compañero y Compañera,' which aired from 1997 to 2001.

CIA with BA: Landlord seeks rent payment from pharmacy tenant

A senior citizen sought the help and advice of sibling senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano through the public service program ‘CIA with BA.’

In the ‘Payong Kapatid’ segment of the episode on Sunday, January 14, Flor, 81, took to the show to consult about what to do with her tenant who put up a pharmacy but has not paid rent since the pandemic.

According to Basinillo, the tenant claimed that they don’t have to pay anymore because she does not have a title or rights for the property.

“Sa mga kasong katulad nito, ‘pag hindi na nakikinig sa ’yo, papasok na ‘to sa kamay ng batas,” shared Alan Peter. “As a general rule, hindi pwedeng bigla na lang hindi magbabayad tapos sasabihin, ‘hindi ko sure.’”

For her part, Pia explained: “Kung ang umuupa ay kinilala kayo na kayo naman ang binabayaran niya ng upa, hindi niya pwedeng baguhin ‘yon after one year or two years… tapos biglang, ‘ay hindi na pala kayo ‘yung may-ari?’ Hindi ho pwede ‘yon. Nandyan po ‘yan sa rules of court.”

“Basta once na nagkasundo kayo — ikaw ang landlord niya, siya ang nangungupahan, hindi niya ‘yan pwede itanggi,” she stressed.

‘CIA with BA,’ as seen at the end of the segment, helped Nanay Flor to craft a demand pay and vacate letter to be given to the tenant. The lawyers also explained to the woman her next steps.

Concluding the episode, Alan reminded the viewers: “Minsan sinasabi natin sa sarili, hindi sapat na hindi tayo gumawa ng masama. Pero there are many cases pala na kailangan gawin din natin ‘yung tama. So hindi sapat na neutral ka, hindi sapat na hindi ka gumawa ng masama.”

“This year, gawin nating isang resolution natin ‘yon — hindi lang tayo neutral, hindi gagawa ng masama, let’s do something good,” he added.

Isang senior citizen ang dumulog sa ‘CIA with BA’ upang humingi ng tulong at payo mula sa magkapatid na senador Alan Peter at Pia Cayetano.

Sa segment na ‘Payong Kapatid’ sa episode nitong Linggo, Enero 14, kumonsulta sa programa si Flor Basinillo, 81, kung ano ang dapat gawin sa kanyang tenant na nagtayo ng botika sa kanyang pwesto at hindi pa nagbabayad ng upa mula noong pandemya.

Ayon kay Basinillo, sinabi ng tenant na hindi nila kailangan magbayad dahil wala naman siya di umanong titulo at rights para sa pwesto.

“Sa mga kasong katulad nito, ‘pag hindi na nakikinig sa ’yo, papasok na ‘to sa kamay ng batas,” pagbabahagi ni Kuya Alan. “As a general rule, hindi pwedeng bigla na lang hindi magbabayad tapos sasabihin, ‘hindi ko sure.’

‘CIA with BA,’ nagpa-SALAMAT kay Nanette Medved-Po para sa HOPE

Inihayag ng public service program na ‘CIA with BA’ ang pagpapahalaga nito sa dating aktres at ngayo’y philanthropist na si Nanette Medved-Po para sa kanyang mga ambag sa lipunan sa pamamagitan ng organisasyong HOPE.

Sa segment na ‘Salamat’ sa episode nitong Linggo, Enero 7, muling nasilayan sa telebisyon si Medved-Po matapos ang ilang taon. Kasama niya ang kanyang mga kaibigan na sina Boy Abunda at magkapatid na senador Alan Peter at Pia Cayetano.

“We’d really like to thank you, not just on a personal level—for what you’ve done for the family, but really what you’re doing for the country, for how you’re giving hope. And hopefully we can partner a little bit by sometimes giving a little bit [too] to all that you’re doing,” sabi ni Alan Peter sa dating ‘Darna’ star.

Taong 2012 sinimulan ni Medved-Po ang HOPE, na ayon sa website nito ay isang B Corp-certified organization na namumuhunan sa edukasyon, agrikultura, at mga programang pangkalikasan. ‘CIA with BA’ honors Nanette Medved-Po for HOPE

Public service program ‘CIA with BA’ expressed its appreciation to former actress and now-philanthropist Nanette Medved-Po for her contributions to society through the organization HOPE.

In the ‘Salamat’ segment of the episode on Sunday, January 7, Medved-Po had one of her first television appearances after several years as she got reunited with colleagues Boy Abunda and sibling senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano.

“We’d really like to thank you, not just on a personal level—for what you’ve done for the family, but really what you’re doing for the country, for how you’re giving hope. And hopefully we can partner a little bit by sometimes giving a little bit [too] to all that you’re doing,” Alan Peter told the former ‘Darna’ star.

In 2012, Medved-Po founded HOPE, which, according to its website, is a B Corp-certified organization that invests in education, agriculture, and environment programs. Upon its establishment, its mission began with their flagship product HOPE in a Bottle which committed 100% of profits to build public school classrooms across the Philippines.

‘CIA with BA’ sisimulan ang 2024 sa pag-aayos ng parent-child relationships

Nakahandang ipagpatuloy ng public service program na ‘CIA with BA’ ngayong 2024 ang mga nasimulan nito sa nagdaang taon.

Sa patuloy na pangununa ng magkapatid na Senador Alan Peter at Pia Cayetano at ni Boy Abunda, nangangako ang 45th Catholic Mass Media Awards Best Talk Show nominee na magpapatuloy sa pagbibigay ng mga legal na payo, pinansyal na tulong, at kasiyahan sa mas pinaaga nitong time slot, 11:00 ng gabi tuwing Linggo sa GMA.

Ngayong Enero 7, sa opening salvo ng ‘CIA with BA’ ngayong taon, tampok ang dalawang kaso na may kinalaman sa mga magulang, kanilang mga anak, at kani-kanilang ‘di pagkakaunawaan.

Sa ‘Case 2 Face’ segment, nagkaroon ng hidwaan ang mag-ina dahil sa kanilang bahay.

“This is the thing about it. Sa research pa lang namin, [we see] na nagmamahalan talaga sila e. Nagmamahalan pero hindi talaga magkaintindihan,” pagbabahagi ni Alan.

Sa segment na ‘Payong Kapatid’ naman, tatalakayin ang paghahanap ng anak sa kanyang ina matapos siyang abandonahin sa loob ng 30 taon. Magkakasundo at makakapagsimula kaya silang muli ngayong taon?

Tampok rin sa episode ang dating aktres at ngayo’y pilantropo na si Nanette Medved sa ‘Salamat’ segment.

Ang ‘CIA with BA’ ay pagpapatuloy ng nasimulang misyon ni Senador Rene Cayetano, ang yumaong ama ng magkapatid na senador. Si Senador Rene ang orihinal na abogadong nagbibigay ng legal advice sa telebisyon at siyang host ng sikat na programang ‘Compañero y Compañera’ noong 1997 hanggang 2001.

‘CIA with BA’ to kickstart 2024 fixing parent-child relationships

This year, public service program ‘CIA with BA’ is all set to continue all the things it has been able to establish in the past year.

Led and hosted by sibling senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano and Boy Abunda, the 45th Catholic Mass Media Awards Best Talk Show nominee vows to keep on giving legal advice, financial assistance, and fun on their earlier time slot, 11:00 p.m. every Sunday on GMA7.

This coming January 7, CIA with BA’s opening salvo for the year features two cases involving parents, their children, and their misunderstandings.

In the ‘Case 2 Face’ segment, a mother and a daughter’s rift over their house is highlighted.

“This is the thing about it. Sa research pa lang namin, [we see] na nagmamahalan talaga sila e. Nagmamahalan pero hindi talaga magkaintindihan,” Alan shares.

The segment ‘Payong Kapatid,’ meanwhile, tackles  the longing of a son’s heart toward his mother who abandoned him for 30 years. Will they all be able to reconcile and start again this new year?

Also, the upcoming episode has a special feature on former actress and now-philanthropist Nanette Medved in the ‘Salamat’ segment.

‘CIA with BA’ carries on the legacy of Senator Rene Cayetano, the late father of the sibling senators. The senior Cayetano was a renowned lawyer who gained fame through his radio and TV program 'Compañero y Compañera,' which aired from 1997 to 2001.

‘CIA with BA’ hosted by Alan, Pia, and Boy airs every Sunday, 11:00 p.m. on GMA7.
