Vice Mayor Marcos Mamay ends 2025 with a series of major accomplishments, marking the year as one of the most defining in his public service career and his expanding presence in the entertainment industry.

On November 26, Mamay was elected Vice President for Operations of the Vice Mayors League of the Philippines (VMLP) during its 29th National Convention at the Manila Hotel. The selection affirms his growing role in national governance and his continued commitment to advancing programs that uplift communities across the country.

Beyond public office, Mamay also made significant strides in showbiz this year.

His inspiring journey is captured in MAMAY: A Journey to Greatness, directed by Neal “Buboy” Tan. The film chronicles his rise from hardship to leadership, with Mamay himself serving as Assistant Director to ensure an authentic portrayal of Maranao culture and traditions. The film became a standout at the 73rd FAMAS Awards, winning five major prizes—including Best Supporting Actor for Jeric Raval, Best Production Design, Best Musical Score, Best Original Song, and Best Cinematography—along with two special recognitions: Film Producer of the Year for Mamay Productions and a Presidential Award for Mamay himself. Beyond politics, Mamay is also a cultural advocate. As Adviser to the Actors Guild of the Philippines, he champions more opportunities for Mindanao-based artists, believing that culture and cinema are powerful tools for education, peace, and unity.

Aside from filmmaking, Mamay also produces concerts and coffee table books. His upcoming ventures under Mamay Productions include films such as OFW, One Life to Live, and Babae sa Salamin, with the Mangyan-themed film starring Ejay Falcon marking a significant addition to his mission of empowering artists and promoting meaningful Filipino stories.

On Tuesday, Mamay added another milestone with the launch of his new book, The Pugilist.

Despite its title, The Pugilist focuses on inner discipline, emotional control, and preserving peace amid the pressures of leadership, public service, and daily life. Mamay said the book highlights the importance of protecting one’s integrity and purpose and features reflections inspired by historical thinkers.

The Pugilist is currently available through select partner institutions.

On Mamay Productions’ mission, he explains:

What's happening ba? He nailed it sa ABS-CBN! But he didn't make it sa GMA! Now! Umaasa ang TV5?

Sa totoo lang, hindi po si Mr. M ang starmaker! Instrumento lang po siya! It is the ABS-CBN who created Superstars and Box Office Stars and not Mr. M!
